This bumper is identical to our high clearance version, except you get to keep your crossmember!
Aside from the aggressive style and low profile fitment, it was carefully engineered with materials to take a beating while keeping weight to a minimum. The low clearance version of the base bumper weighs in at only 55 lbs with hardware! Once you add the full width swingout with tire carrier (52 lbs), accessory mounting panel (9 lbs), and fold down aluminum camp table (8 lbs) it brings the total weight to around 124 lbs with hardware.
Even though you get to keep your crossmember, modifications to the vehicle are still required. Obviously you will need to cut your plastic bumper cover. You will also need to grind down some high points on a weld on the bottom side of your frame rails. It is optional but if you are running a swingout or plan on using the recovery points on the bumper, it is HIGHLY recommended to drill a hole up through either frame rail to install additional dual shear bolts that massively strengthen the bumper and reduce swingout movement/bounce. If you don't drill and install at least the bolt on the swingout hinge side, you will experience extreme movement and flex.
A few other notable features:
- Swingout has three different locking locations with standard spindle. 1st, locks when closed. 2nd, locks at 95 degrees. 3rd, locks at 120 degrees. In the 3rd position, the swingout and hatch won't interfere when open.
- Optional Ratha Designs dual shear HD hinge upgrade allows for a stronger hinge to run larger spares/more gear weight. Locks when closed, at 90 degrees, and at 120 degrees.
- Accessories panel features hole patterns compatible with RotoPax mounts.
- Tire carrier with standard spindle is designed for use with spares up to 35”. Up to 37" with Ratha hinge.
Wheel mount on the tire carrier has multiple mounting locations and can be raised or lowered.
Aluminum camp table has built-in bottle openers.
It is recommended for the swingout to be built with the spindle and tire carrier on the right/passenger side. This helps level out the rear and correct any lean caused by the gas tank on the drivers side.
All mounting hardware is grade 8 or stronger.
Recovery points are 1/2" thick and pass through to the inside of the bumper. Welded both inside and out.

IF RUNNING A SWINGOUT, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMENDED TO DRILL ADDITIONAL HOLES THROUGH FRAME RAILS FOR MOUNTING. IF YOU DON'T DO THIS YOU WILL EXPERIENCE EXTREAM MOVEMENT AND BOUNCING WHEN CARRYING A SPARE AND/OR EXTRA GEAR ON THE SWINGOUT.
CUTTING OF PLASTIC BUMPER COVER IS REQUIRED.
WILL NOT WORK WITH LARGE V8 DROP RECEIVER WITHOUT SPACERS AND EXTENDED HARDWARE. DESIGNED FOR USE WITH THE METAL TECH RECEIVER OR THE OEM V6 RECEIVER (PN 51909-35011 OR 90119-12361).
CHANGING FROM THE LARGE V8 DROP RECEIVER TO THE SMALLER VERSION WILL REDUCE YOUR TOW CAPACITY.

On 03-05 4runners, there will be a small gap all the way around between the plastic cover and tubing on the metal bumper.
No guarantee on the swingout working with hatch mounted ladders.
Designed for stock body height and suspension lifted vehicles only. Having a body lift will result in a different fitment than pictured. You will need to cut the plastic cover at a different height.
Depending on wheel offset, you may have to run spacers in order to prevent the sides of the tire from hitting the swingout.
Swingout can NOT be added to the bumper later on. Must be purchased at the same time.
Max recommended tire size is 35”.
If ordering with an extra receiver on swingout, the receiver will be offset to the latch side in order to leave room for your spare tire. Max tire size with this option is 35".
When running the swingout with a spare or extra weight from gear, you may experience a slight shake or bounce when hitting repetitive bumps.
When running the swingout with a spare, the factory license location will be partially covered. You will need to relocate your license plate.
The bumper is only shipped as raw steel. There may be evidence of anti-spatter spray, oils, areas with light surface rust, small amounts of weld splatter, and shallow scratches caused during manufacturing and/or shipping.
Powdercoating is only available if doing local pickup. If you would like to add, please reach out for a custom invoice.

This bumper ships freight! It will be palletized and delivered to the freight terminal closest to your location for you to pickup. You will receive tracking information once it ship. Once it arrives at your local terminal you will be contacted to schedule pickup.
