Introducing the Baja Mid-Pro Bumper Series from Ascend Fabrications! Inspired by the innovative lightweight builds of the legendary race and is the first production mid height hybrid bumper for the 5th gen 4runner on the market. This bumper is guaranteed to transform the look of your vehicle, give you an unmatched approach angle, more confidence on the trails, and get you all the likes on “Front End Friday” posts. 
 
The bumper covers the important bits up front then the customer "viper" cuts the bumper the rest of the way to the fenders. This gives the customer a little more creative freedom and also allows for more options with aftermarket fenders.
 
Aside from style and fitment, it was carefully engineered with materials to take a beating while keeping weight to a minimum. The base bumper weighs in at roughly 71 lbs with hardware!
 
 
PRICING AND OPTIONS:
Main bumper starts at $1150 uncoated, +$400 for powdercoat.
(Optional) Lightbar cover - $150 uncoated, +$50 for powdercoat.
(Optional) Grille guard tube - $125 uncoated, +$50 for powdercoat.
(Optional) Filler bracket - $60 uncoated, +$40 for powdercoat.
(Optional) Frame brackets - $100 uncoated, +$40 for powdercoat.
 
LIGHTBAR COVER INFO:
Bolt on cover to add a 30" single row lightbar to the top of the bumper.
Has internal slotted brackets and works with many different brands as long as the mounting points are centered on the ends of the bar and less than 32". The thickness of the bar also can not be greater than 2-1/2". 
Made out of 1/8" 5052 aluminum.
Compatible with TSS sensor.
Extended hardware/spacers for mounting lightbar NOT included.
Bar cover will fill the previously cut area on the plastic valence for those upgrading from a low-pro bumper.
Adds 3 lbs.
 
GRILL GUARD TUBE INFO:
Bolt on grille guard tubing for the top of the bumper.
Can fit multiple 4" pods underneath the tubing. 
NOT recommended for models with TSS as the tubing will block the sensor. Can relocate the sensor with the C4 Fab TSS relocation kit.
Adds 8 lbs.
 
FILLER BRACKET INFO:
Aluminum filler bracket for those upgrading from a low-pro bumper and need to fill the previously cut area on the plastic valence under the grill or want additional room for pods without having to make multiple cuts to the stock bumper. 
Braces lower grille after cutting lower valence.
Designed to work with or without grille guard tubing.
Bracket itself is compatible with TSS.
Can order this later if you decide you need it, just reach out for a custom invoice.
Adds 1 lb.
 
FRAME BRACKETS INFO:
Optional but highly recommended if you plan to use the bumper for winching or recovery. 
Formed 1/4" steel brackets with high strength hardware that tie the bumper into the frame for added winch and recovery strength.
Requires weld nuts on back of mounting plates to be removed.
Adds 4 lbs.
 
POWDERCOATING INFO:
Highly durable carbon black (light texture) powdercoat.
All parts are chemically cleaned, sand blasted, and coated with a zinc primer for extra corrosion resistance prior to being top coated.
If you choose powdercoat on the bumper, the lower aluminum cover will also be coated. If you would like that cover to be left raw please let us know.
On powdercoated bumpers you will also receive black stainless hardware for the aluminum cover (unless you tell us to leave that uncoated).
Powdercoat on the bumper also adds an additional $65 shipping cost due to extra packaging time/materials.
Powdercoated parts are not stocked and are coated per order, which adds additional lead time before shipment.
 
WINCH FITMENT:
The bumper was designed using the Harbor Freight Badlands Apex 12K with synthetic line.
Other similar sized or smaller winches may fit.
Must have a 4.5"x10" mounting pattern.
Depending on winch size you might have to relocate the control box, clock the winch drum, and/or bend/move AC and trans lines.
 
SKID PLATE COMPATIBILITY:
Not guaranteed to work with all aftermarket skid plates.
If the skid ends just under the lower front crossmember or sticks past the front surface by less than 1-1/4", it should work. Can reach out for confirmation before ordering.
RCI, Victory 4x4, CaliRaised, CBI, and All-Pro are all compatible. C4 also fits but requires a specific mounting height of the bumper.
NOT recommended for use with oem TRD skid without modifying or lowering the skid. The front lip of the skid sticks out super far and overlaps the bottom of the bumper by a considerable amount and looks weird. Recommended to cut 4 inches off the front lip of the skid or switch to aftermarket.
Will work with the black non-TRD oem skid.
 
READ BEFORE YOU ORDER:
This version will work with 2014+ non-limited Toyota 4runners only. The "wings" of the bumper are bent differently than the OG and Limited versions.
FLAT RATE SHIPPING: The average cost to package and ship this bumper (and any add-ons) within the lower 48 is $185 for raw steel and $250 for powdercoated. See more details under the SHIPPING INFO tab.
Cutting of factory plastic bumper is required.
On 14+ non limited models, it will work with stock body height, 1" body lift, and suspension lifted vehicles. If you have a body lift greater than 1" you can still run the bumper, you just need to make the cut line lower by the amount of the body lift.

On raw steel orders there may be evidence of anti-spatter spray, oils, areas with light surface rust, small amounts of weld splatter, and shallow scratches caused during manufacturing and/or shipping.
On powdercoated orders, there may be evidence of scratches or rub marks caused during handling and/or shipping. There may also be scratches or weld splatter underneath the coating. Powdercoat is NOT warrantied in any way! However we try our best to package appropriately to avoid any damage during transit.
